Save The Gasconade Merchandise
I've created these items to benefit the effort of saving this historic bridge on Route 66 in Hazelgreen Missouri. The Gasconade River Bridge was built in the early 1920's, shortly before Route 66 came into existence in 1926. It carried travelers across the Gasconade River up until December of 2014, when it was closed by MoDot because of structural concerns. There are very few remaining overhead truss bridges left on Route 66. These bridges give the feeling of traveling in an earlier time period and add to the character of traveling the old two lane highway. This bridge matters and must be saved! In early 2015 a group of concerned roadies and locals banded together to make sure this bridge survives.
All proceeds from the sale of these items go to benefit the efforts of The Bridge Guardians to save this historical bridge.
